This February, Big Quarters joins Atmosphere, Kill The Vultures, MaLLy and BK-One on the Welcome To Minnesota Tour.

The tour begins February 20th in Mankato and makes subsequent stops in Bemidji, Minneapolis, Duluth, Rochester & St. Cloud. Last year all of the shows sold out in advance so make sure you get your tickets early!

Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday, December 16th at 11:00AM CST and are available through Ticketmaster. Tickets for the Minneapolis, Duluth and St. Cloud shows are also available at Fifth Element (2411 Hennepin Ave S, Mpls, MN | 612.377.0044) in Uptown.

Fall is back and crept up fast. Time is flying.

It was just 2 years ago when we released this song "Octo" in our 2nd issue of BQDirect. So, today, we figured it would be a cool way to celebrate by posting it up for you to hear. It's actually one of my favorite songs that didn't make the cut when we were putting together our tracklist for "Brown Babies."

In a month from now, we'll be teaming up with our friends at Fifth Element & Radio Pocho to bring you our show of the year. Don't get me wrong, alot of cool stuff went down in 2010 (Berlin is off the CHAIN!). I just think it's been a while since we threw our own gig in BQ fashion, and with BQDirect turning 2, and Last of the Record Buyers turning 3 - it just feels right.

Brandon and I will be joined on stage by Noam the Drummer (DJ), Benzilla (MPC & vocals), and Mankwe Ndosi (vocals). We're coming close to finishing our new album Party Like A Young Commie for release this spring. So, you can expect to hear some new cuts at the show.

Mankwe Ndosi will also have an opening set, with me accompanying her on the beats. We've only teamed up on a set once before and it went over real well. We played songs off her 1st EP "Do-Gooders Blues" and a couple off her upcoming full length we've been working on the past year. Please believe, this set is only getting better and I suggest you don't miss it. Matter fact, I think you'll like it.

We've also invited young up & comers Just Wulf (MC) & Prime Cut (Producer) to open the night. They're debut album, Piece by Piece, is in stores now and available at http://www.justwulf.com

Our friends Miguel Vargas & DJ Ren of Radio Pocho (KFAI) will be holding down the sound throughout the night.

With out a doubt, this night will be special, and we hope to see you there. peace

A month ago, when we got our video camera, I set it up to record our practice at Brandon's apartment.
